Do I get support once I have purchased the software?

YES – Support is included until your license expires. Customer support is free and the help desk can be contacted Monday – Friday 9am-5pm and email support is also available: support@postcodesoftware.com

How do I get new updates for the software?

Mobile Credits – We control the updates. Any updates that the Royal Mail carry out on the postcode database will be available through the software, ensuring that your searches will always have the most up to date information available. We update the data on a regular basis.

Desktop License – Updates for PostcodeSoftware are available quarterly. Any updates that the Royal Mail carry out on the postcode database will be available through the software, ensuring that your searches will always have the most up to date information available.

Will the PostcodeSoftware interact with other software that I use

YES – PostcodeSoftware can be integrated with other software applications.

Does the software follow the Royal Mail standard address format?

YES – By default the software outputs the address in Royal Mail standard address format. However, this can be altered by selecting tools at the top in the software and clicking on options. Here you can alter the format in which your address is formatted.

Are there any help files with the software?

YES – By hitting the F1 key, or selecting help/contents, the help files will appear and will provide you with information and tips regarding the use of the software.

If I have had a problem with my computer, how do I re-install the software?

If you need to move the software to another device or reinstall it, you will need to ‘De-Activate’ the software.

  1. To do this select Tools > Deactivate Software
  2. Your current activation code will show in this window (you may wish to make note of this)
  3. Click ‘Move Software’
  4. This will deactivate the software on this device and allow you to use on another device
  5. Download the software onto a new device using download the link sent in your order email

If you cannot access the postcode software application, you will need to contact the help desk for a manual re-activation. To do this call 0845 8382 666 and a member of our support team will be able to guide you through the steps of reinstalling the software.

Can I use PostcodeSoftware over terminal services?

YES – The software can be installed over terminal services. We require a minimum order of 10 licenses for this facility. For more information on this, feel free to call us on 0845 8382 666.

Can I find addresses if I only know part of the postcode and the town?

YES – If you click on the search tab in the software, you can search on town, locality and part of the postcode. This will pull through possible addresses at street level which you can scroll through to find the correct one.

What happens when my 12 month licence runs out?

You need to purchase another 12 month licence, this can be done by clicking on the link below which will take you to our payment page

My address is displaying incorrectly or not at all

If your address is showing incorrectly or not at all you can report this to the Royal Mail by emailing them using the address below.
